Post Higher Education, I have found I still have a lot to say of a semi-academic, usually long-winded, and (notably) analytical nature. However, I do not get all that many opportunities to set aside a period of time to consider and develop these ideas; nor the justification without essay deadlines.
Usually these ideas become manifest through discussion or as a kind of discursive internal monologue whilst consuming information in a variety of forms (listening to music, watching a film etc.). Yet I have noted a perpetual (and unexpected!) desire to record the full extend of these idea (to their logical conclusions) through the model I used to produce in my academic studies – and even more so in writing!
Therefore, I intend to utilise this account to record some of these ostensibly worthwhile (yet fleeting) ideas here, in a somewhat blog-based style. Thereafter, I will inevitably flesh them out (over time), as far as is interesting or worthwhile, and later use them for reflection and stimulus for progression.
I will not set a remit for the contents; however the themes of Jazz, Education, Guitar, Music Theory and all broader elements of Music generally, will indubitable be prevalent.
